Description
UPM® Permanent Pavement Repair Material is engineered for long-lasting, durable repairs in various pavement types. Its unique formulation allows for effective repairs in wet or dry conditions, making it ideal for any climate and season.
Surface Preparation
Clean and sweep the area to remove loose fragments and debris, ensuring a solid base and clean edges.
Mixing Procedures
Ready to use; no mixing required.
Clean Up
Clean tools and equipment with water when wet; use mineral spirits when dry.
Application
-
Clean the area of large chunks and loose debris using a broom or leaf blower.
-
Shovel or pour UPM® mix into the hole, ensuring it is 25% higher than the desired depth before compaction.
-
Compact the mix using a hand tamper, truck or car tires, plate compactors, or rollers. For deep potholes, apply and compact UPM® mix in separate 2” layers. Dust the surface with sand or cement powder to set UPM® quicker and reduce tackiness.
Important
Weather Limitations:
-
Not suitable for application on rainy days.
-
Ensure the temperature does not drop below the seasonal grade’s specified range during application.
Drying Time:
Upon compaction, UPM® becomes stable and ready for immediate traffic. Road dust and dirt will form a crust on top, while the patch cures below, remaining flexible for expansion and contraction.
